What is engineered wood flooring?
Our engineered wide plank hardwood flooring is a made up of a core of marine-grade Baltic Birch plywood and a top layer of sawn hardwood veneer that is glued on the top surface of the plywood and is available in any hardwood species. The solid veneer means that it has the identical natural characteristics of the selected solid wood species as opposed to rotary peeled veneer or some photographic paper layer as seen on laminate. Our engineered plank flooring is designed to provide greater stability, particularly where moisture or heat pose problems for solid hardwood floors.
